On November 9th and 10th to celebrate Veterans Day, JJ Cardinal’s and Help Heal Veterans will be holding a
Free Art & Craft Event for Veterans and their families. Participants will be given a kit of their choice of - a Bird Feeder, Wallet, Slim Line Pen, Leather Pouch or Journal. Just come in anytime during our normal business hours on Saturday or Sunday to pick a kit of your choice.
- Space will be set for you and your family to build your projects with support staff available to help. Of course, you are free to take your kit home to work on at your leisure. We look forward to seeing you.
- We have 100 kits to give away 20 of each project. For more information or to reserve a kit please give the store a call at 810 695-8733.
- We are also collecting gratitude cards to be included in HHV kits. No envelope is required just some words of kindness. Drop off your cards at JJ’s by Nov 10. We appreciate the community’s support.
- About Help Heal Veterans: Since 1971, Heal Vets has been providing therapeutic craft kits free of charge to veterans and active-duty military. Arts and crafts are a time-tested healing tool for PTSD, depression, anxiety, and can help relieve pain, improve mobility and fine motor skills. Over 400,000 kits are produced and distributed annually enabling 600,000 hours of therapy and helping over 300,000 veterans including 7,000 who are home-bound.
