DESCRIPTION:For the first Thursdays of the month the focus in the studio will be working with watercolors. You can come in to learn how to create wet on wet watercolor leaves that you can use for cards\, journal books and other collage projects. If watercolor is not you desire\, we have many other options available. Just ask. ‘-) \nDrop in to play in the Art Exploration Center. Create sometime for yourself. Art is known to provide wellness benefits.  Come in to play\, explore and relax. No experience required.  Just the willingness to try and fail knowing that practice is the key to learning anything.  Leave your inner critic at home. ‘-) \nReservations are not required\, and you can spend as much or as little time as you want. \nA $15 studio fee of includes access to shared tools\, materials and individual instruction for your session.  Additional project materials and supplies can be purchased. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Just in time for Easter come in to learn an ancient art form; Pysanky also known as Ukrainian Egg Painting. \nOver 2000 years ago people of the Ukraine decorated eggs with the  belief that eggs embodied great powers.  Originally it was a way to unshackle the earth from the hold of winter and to welcome the promise of spring\, new life and prosperity.  With the advent of Christianity the symbolism grew to include rebirth and  eternal life\, \nYou will learn how to use bees wax\, dyes and kistky to create one of a kind art pieces on an egg.  No experience is required.  We will be melting wax over an open flame so it can get messy.  Please wear play clothes\, tie backs for long hair and short sleeves are recommended . \nAll supplies are provided all you need is a sense of adventure. Cost is $35\nReservations are required.
